Good afternoon all.
First a warning that there is another thread giving answers. Best to stick to this one.
It wasn't as easy as last week's. You'll
either love or hate the clue to 12a.
Kind regards.

Thought I would get an early start this week!
All to no avail!
Yes, better crossword this week as you point out Navigator. 12A was a good puzzle but I also liked 23A, 24A & 11A.
Hope all of you are well.
Will we hear from Caravaggio this week-hope so!!
Best wishes,
NIMROD

I guess we must have upset the compiler last week when we said RT13 was too easy. This one took me over an hour. 7 across and 14 down were last to yield.

Karen,
Good evening! "Hurple" away!!
Interesting word - do you mean hirple?
To walk with a limp - or is your word a Cockney take on the original to rhyme with purple?
Best wishes for a speedy recovery,
NIMROD

I have made a small start but am cogitating now. Will post pleas for help later. Pastille - I worry about you - you seem to be a bit of a insomniac! Have a nice milk drink, inhale some lavender and enjoy a nice restful sleep tonight....... Hope you are not kept awake worrying!

Good evening pastille!
Yes, quite right - the word is of Scottish origin. However, I believe it is spelt "hirple."
Yes, the use and development of language is fascinating.
That's why we do the crosswords!!
Regards,
NIMROD
