I have finished this,but have a query on 27d
'Root-squad out!'? A conquistador possibly(4)
I have ?NCA; the obvious answer is INCA but I
am perplexed with the thinking. Maybe somebody
knows! I hope.

p.s. 16d is the same word as 5a in this week's
Mephisto,what a coincidence.

take away the letters 'Rootsquad' from aconquistador and you are left with the letters, inca(4)
