12a Valid notice about farewell speech (11)...It looks like an anagram of "valid notice" which gives "valediction" but the letters i have are... ?a?e?i?t?r?

SPRING looks a very reasonable answer for 7d so, assuming that the other letters you have for 12a are correct then, at least, VALEDICTORY fits.

I'm not clear about the wordplay though. 'val' & 'edict' could equate to 'valid' & 'notice' in the clue, but that would leave 'ory'.

So I'm puzzled. I hope someone else can sort this out for you.

Ah! 7d begins with an A not an S.
