Chambers Dict.
ma =, a childish contraction for mamma and mamma = mother.
old lady = mother or wife.
Therefore ma = mother = old lady.

Concise Oxford Dict.
ma = mother and old lady = mother. Therefore .....

I'd be quite happy with the setter.
