I'm 'sort of' there with these two but not 100% happy yet...
"Cartoon film opening with Czar's daughter when exiled" = 'Fantasia'.
"It modifies another word partially, for instance" = 'adverb'.

The only Czar's daughter I can think of is Anastasia

Cartoon = Fantasia (Walt Disney).
film opening = F
Czar's daughter = Anastasia
when exiled ("when" seems to be synonymous with "as"in crosswords - I think this might be quite recent) anyways, lose as from Anastasia= 'Fantasia'

Is "partially" just an example of an adverb(ie A for instance of) an adverb

Think of "when" as being "as", like in "as and when".
