Thanks - I get the Sloane Ranger now - so 1A is not ALLOT then (as I had assumed)

But RABBIT - I thought so, but can you explain why?

Hi RABBIT and SLOANE RANGER . If you are in NZ Sloane Street is where the Toffs shop and Meet and they are called Rangers mimicing the Lone Ranger. And if you are in NZ we are all feeling the pain. Kindest regards

Excellent explanation and entirely appropriate for a crossword "rabbit" in NZ (where the cricket team are not that great right now)
