Any help much appreciated, firstly here are 2 I think are correct just not sure how you get this from the clue, but they do seem to fit, are these correct ?

Old Bob ought to behold individual performance (4)
Is it SOLO if so why ?

Rum effort, twisted in agitation (7)
Is it TURMOIL if so why ?

old bob is shilling (s). Lo is behold. O may be ought, I suppose.

rum toil is feeble anagram of turmoil

Turmoil is an anagram of RUM and TOIL (effort)

Thanks jomac, I assume feeble anagram means you have to change the word and then solve the anagram?
