Could you explain how you get GROWN UP please.
I get the mature bit and part of it is PUN, but don't get the rest

I can't speak for dandelion but how about.

mature = grown up.

audience response to pun = grown (sounds like groan)tradional response to excruciating pun.
+ up (cheered).

p.s. audiences could be the word that tells you it's a sounds like thing. response to a pun is ,like I said, tradionally a groan.

8d) Staff boarding front of plane always assembled for take off (6) P-r-d-

I have put in Parody, = Take off
Staff = Rod
Front of plane = P
AY..? Cant understand the AY, is it something to do with AlwaYs

sorry, I can't really help you. It may be front of plane always = pa +rod and the Y somehow equals assembled. But I can't see it either way.
