To help those that don't have the crossword, or at least say that that they don't, 11a ::
"Bacon not entirely accepts one freaky artist !"

I am not sure why but I think this may be the first name of an Spanish artist noted for his wacky, surreal paintings. Now this would tend to suggest that this weeks theme is painters perhaps ?
