I just wondered if people here entered any competitions relating to crosswords and if so has anyone won one! I've tried and tried but my name has never comne out of the hat.

You've won all those?! Well done. I've sent in dozens of Eye crossies but never been lucky- and I live close to their offices!

Are crosswords dumbing down like every other aspect of life?

I was lucky enough to win Saturday Times Crossword a few years ago, and I am still sending them in!

Sunday Times Prize Cryptic - NOTHING,have been entering for 30 years.

I've heard of a couple of other people who've won the Mephisto multiple times. Seems if you can do it, it's worth entering.
