6d Squeeze top off for sure ??C?
9a What to do with laurel and Hardy to leave Laurel very absorbed by Hardy H?L?E Is it halve as in half the letters of Laurel + H (hardy) + v (very) or am I on the wrong track here?
Grateful for any help

re 9a, i saw this as;

What to do with laurel and Hardy to leave Laurel. - take away half of the double act,ie Halve

very absorbed by Hardy - hardy can mean in good health,hale can mean the same. hale plus v gives halve.
there may well be a better less convoluted explanation.

group - oasis
foundation - basis
change B(ishop) to o(nothing)
