I know it's early days, but I am not getting very far. Has everyone else finished, or not yet started?

I'm about half way - trying to do times xwords at the same time!

Got five solutions so far but not got any idea yet of the things in common?

I am completely stuck. Have 5 so far and have come to a grinding halt. Also have no clue what the common theme is. I have two answers of the non-defined clue and I don't seem to be able to link them in any way. This is going to be a long Saturday.

1a is "inside " the clue

The 10 are people of note who frequent bars and are also nouns. I'd never heard of 3d 8ac 21d. 14d is popular with the WI.

Nice to know I'm not alone, although am ashamed not to have picked up 7a earlier, as I am one! Fortunately I'm not yet 13a.
