hi Sally,
you need to use some html code.
the format is,

<a href="THE ADDRESS GOES HERE">THE LINK THAT WILL BE SHOWN</A>

for instance - for the above link to the drinks post, the 1st bit (was discussed)you write as normal, and then,

<a href="http://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/114225/drinks";>Here.</A>

if i have done this correctly you shoul de able to copy and paste the lot and then just change the address between the quote marks and the text that you want to be displayed(and underlined).

ps when i say 'copy and paste the lot' i mean't copy the line,

<a href="http://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/114225/drinks";>Here.</a>

and paste it into your message when you post.

it needs to be pretty exact.just remember the address (http://www...etc) goes between the quote marks.

To give a link: - I am quite prepared, and happy, to be shot down, but what I as told to do was right-click the address bar at the top of the screen (to the right of the arrws) and then click "copy" from the drop-down menu; choose where you want to put it on your message, right-click, and then choose "paste" from the drop-down menu.

I must admit that this doesn't alway work for me - but some of the time it does!

AJT,
What you have said does what you said it would. Copies and pastes a full http address to your posting.
But that is not want trevor and sallyw are talking about. To get an underlined word or phrase that you simply click on to be taken to a different web page you have to do it like trevor says.
