7d Hat keeps dry just the tiniest part. I think it's tittle, but can't see why.

Many thanks for confirming it is tittle. Still not sure why hat = tile, and TT for dry seems a bit obscure. Hey ho, as long as it's finished.

TT=Teetotal which means not drinking alcohol, hence dry

Dry hotel's were ones where only soft drinks and hot beverages were served, for instance

Tile was just slang for hat.
probably from roofing tile,on top,blah blah.
