I don't doubt that the answer to Q5 is Mexico. But can anybody say where the city called "Mexico" is. I presume it is somewhere other than "Mexico City".

Yes,but Mexico City is called Mexico City. There was another Q where the answer was Denmark. There is a city (well place with a population of 2000) of that name in carolina,usa. But I can't find a city called Mexico anywhere.
