Stuck on 1A already...
'Vehicle that's best after testing' (7)
I think it's _ _ _ _ TOP maybe an H or B at the beginning as 1D is
'Tramp who borrows houses' (4) ie. BOHO or HOBO

Please help, it's really winding me up !

That's the same one that I am doing. I think it is HIGHTOP, as that is part of a ship, and therefore HOBO. BUT, having said that, that ruins 9A which I think is HATHA YOGA.

If anyone else knows....

Cheers

Hi.

I haven't seen the crossword but HOBO is hidden in the clue, so that's right I think. The vehicle clue could lead to HARDTOP (test+best).

Best Wishes.

Jim,
I'm not sure now. If it is HOBO and HARDTOP, then what would that make...
'Dance master and a star having repeated outburts' (5,4) I thought it would be HATHA YOGA because of the rhythmic breathing but...
If it is HOBO, then the letters that I have at the moment are B_ _ _ A / _O_ A.

Toxirep, what do you have ???

Hi JimC

How's the weather where you are on this bank holiday monday? Pretty grim here in Stockport!

A little bit of nit picking here re your explanation of HARDTOP

TESTING = Hard rather than TEST = Hard

What say you?

Cheers, JimB

PezBuin,
I haven't got anything else to help me at the moment. What did you mke 2d - RELIEF TROOPS WITH OFFENSIVE INTENTIONS ???? - 7 letters, I know it must end in ????I?E because of Inkjetprinter and creosote. If it is HARDTOP as JimC thinks, that would make it H???I?E ?

Hi JB.

Sunny/cloudy here in the SE of England. Must go to mow soon :(

Of course, testing rather than test - just saving ink again (is my excuse).

To the TWO JIMS...

Weather here in Deal,Kent is wonderful !!!
We'll be taking a morning stroll, ending up in a pub for lunch, completing 3 or 4 games of cribbage and then train journey back home after 3 or 4 pints of Harvey's Sussex Real Ale.
