Hi S-lover - think I'm finished but don't really understand how 29D and 31A work - ( I'm guessing "o" and "p" respectively as the unchecked letters)- can you give me a hint without spoiling it for others?

31a Put shore in front of your answer for a place in Hackney
29d yes to oand p. l (load)o (of) or possibly lo (load) pe(exercise)
loper = sprinter, take off the r.

29D lo = look which is what "get a load of" also means (see under load in Chambers)

22A - dan=sloop? - can't find this defn for dan

dandy = fine and also = sloop
DY (D and Y) = Benin registration

I should have said dandy[2] = vessel like a sloop
