9)down CLUE:- PEAK..... don't know if it should be TOP or TIP as I felt they both meant that?

No it is defintely T-P, as got PALTRY for the across of( utterly worthless. )which i think is right?

Paltry looks fine and I would go for TOP rather than Tip

Peak is defined as the pointed Top of a mountain or ridge
