Hello

Doing well with bottom half of puzzle but a bit stuck on some key clues.
1 Across
Set up stand so arranged for game involving money (12 letters)
I think it must be an anagram of set up stand so

Any help gratefully received!!!

It's an anagram of a five letter word meaning 'set up' and the letters in 'stand to'. The whole is a gambling game. Hope that helps

I don't think that's quite right. The first part of the answer is a 5 letter word meaning "set up" but it's not an anagram. Only the second part of the answer is an anagram (of "stand so").

peterm - you are absolutely right. That is what I meant, but I phrased it badly. Hope it didn't confuse things unnecesarily.

Any idea about the wordplay for 8dn? I've got the answer, but can't work out why.

peterm - I think is is 'ut' old word for 'as' inside 'dido' backwards. Chambers fives 'dido' as US informal antic or caper. ie Adirondacks just means American

I would appreciate guidance on the following...

32D What's attractive in sex, repeated cry when thrusting! (4, 2 words)

I have "s? sa" - and presume the missing letter is "a" but can't find any reference to it other than perhaps a vague Shinto reference - can someone enlighten me.

Thanks

ixion
