Have tried as you suggested to get on to the programme TEA but everyone I try tells me it could harm my computer any ideas ?.
I am therefore still struggling with the last 2 anagrams for sports stars & their sport.

TEA is a commercially available program I've used for about 10 years, I don't know how it could harm your computer. The shareware demo is not very good and isn't a good indicator of the power of the full program. It costs $40 or about £25.

In the meanwhile I'll have a go at those anagrams!

No I'm not getting any 8,8 sports from the second group of letters.

The first gives 12 letter combinations including

Cannoneering and carilloning which sound like they could be sports but don't seem to be. Canyonneering seems to be a "sport" of sorts.

I think for these two, you've have to get out the Scrabble tiles.

Thanks again Problem Chimp.Yes the name you found fits very well except for an E which should be an A
Just 1 to go & I'm working on it preferable to going out in this murky weather.
