Please can the posters (postees?) on this forum give clues and number of letters in the answer(s) required, also any letters that they may already have? It also helps to know which crossword they're referring to. I have noticed a few posts lately where this basic information is omitted, but people should realise that not everyone is doing the same crossword, but that someone may be able to help anyway. Thank you.

And, after people have sweated over cryptic clues and provided answers, it is only common courtesy if the people who asked for help thank those who have given the answers.
