I'm not sure how certain you are of all the letters you gave but I thought SNEAKS and CONNIVED (or even ALIGNED) might be the answers.

I rather think that Rufina has some letters wrong because I agree with 'connived'. An alternative would be 'colluded' but only because it's an eight-letter word with the same meaning!

As I haven't noticed your contributions lately, do I suspect that you've been enjoying yourself in sunnier climes?
