I'm stuck on the linked solutions.I've got "thunderstorm" and "smooth down", then only "onion" and "hound. I couldn't get the two 4 letter words from Saturday's GK - the fried cheese sandwich and the hemispherical revolving, opening roof. Any help out there?

Hi!

I don't know what the Herculis puzzle is or linked clues for that matter, but isn't the revolving roof of a telescope observatory referred to as a 'dome'?

Thanks JimC - that gives me "onion dome". Do you know the name of the legendary king of Flanders and patron saint of beer?

Well, I didn't know before but "Gambrinus is a legendary king of Flanders, and an unofficial patron saint of beer or beer brewing." according to Wikipedia.
