Are the number of letters correct as this one was posted last evening with the number of letters 6,5,6,

i saw this answered as - yanky doodle dandy - nobody seemed totally convinced(because of spelling).

someone calling theirself "me" pointed out that yankee doodle whatever predated the US civil war by a hundred years and he/she was right. I suppose it could still have been adopted by the north but this seems unlikely. Apparently us Brits first sang it during the American war of Independance-to describe the rag bag appearance of the american soldiers.

I think theirself should be themself.
