Did anyone have a thought about whether 9A could be reverse of A LOSS cut short?

Loki
Still not convinced by 9A. Why German?
A loss cut short reversed? But an iffy definition for that

Loki - we seem to be going round in circles on 9ac. Fortune cut short = jos[s]. Reverse that + a = soja. Soja is an alternative spelling of soya. I presume your reference to German goes back to Post 8 in the other thread. I was simply trying to give a nudge in the right direction without explicitly giving the answer.

It would have been better not to have started a second thread.
