Sorry but I am slightly confused is it
O????? T????

P.S. Seems to be some belligerence creeping in other threads. Have we been infiltrated?

I have written it exactly as it has been printed. As I read it back before writing this reply it occured to me Oliver Twist
Old = o, liver = meat roll = twist
What do you think?

Spot on, he was certainly a dissatisfied diner.

In reply to your comment I agree about the belligerence and prefer questions/ answers (with the occasional quip thrown in)

Can anyone explain this clue?

20d. Key used in a soprano's passages (6)
I have A_S_E_
Which I've put down Aisles for passages. I take the key to meaning a musical key (A-G)

A nice bit of misdirection there - not a musical key but a low island or reef (as in Key West).

A ISLE S(oprano)

Thanks for the explanation BigDave. I'll try to store that in the back of my mind for some future application.

14 accross, I can get vegitarian or vegeburger but am then stumped. I have yet to get any clues on that side of the grid, could I get a nudge in the right direction?

Believe it or not, but many of us on here don't actually do the puzzle, but it doesn't mean we can't help.

If you can give us the clue, the number of letters, and any that you already have then at least we have a chance!
